Squeaky front seats

I know it's only a minor niggle, but I have this irritating squeak from the front seats on my 2015 Yaris Hybrid, it's not metallic,it's a kind of squeaky shoe kind of noise. Anyone else have this issue and any tips to eradicate it ?

I did have a similar problem with my Mk 2 Yaris which I thought was the driver's seat squeaking. It wasn't!

It was related to something not right under the footwell carpet. Every time I moved there was a squeak obviously caused by my feet pressing on the floor. As you say, annoying more than anything.

The mechanic actually took me into the workshop to demonstrate that every time he pushed the carpet with his hand there was this squeak/noise. So much for my diagnostic skills.

The dealer had to order parts and it was remedied under warranty. Not saying that is your problem but sounds in cars can be very deceiving as to their exact source.

A 2015 car should still be within warranty.
