B9004 satnav upgrade

Hi there. I recently bought a 2008 rav4 with the b9004 satnav stereo and I don’t like it much. 

How can I upgrade it to a satnav unit that will be easier to use and let me play all my music from my iPhone plus still have the hands free phone?

How competent are you at DIY? Budget?

have you searched the forum at all? e.g. (obviously available units & their capabilities will have moved on in 6 years)

Hi, thanks for the reply. 

I am very new to this and wasn’t sure how to go about things. 

My DIY skills are about average and can usually fit a stereo and amps and stuff like that. 

My budget is probably up to £300
