Anyone noticed this writeup:

Note that in month 5 the reporter thought B mode helped mpg figures and in month 10 he finally found out about his error - d'oh!

To be fair, the writing was balanced and objective - can't imagine certain ex-TopGear presenters writing about a Hybrid in these terms!

I agree, I went through all 12 reports and they were pretty favourable in my opinion.

I'd say overall that is, by some considerable margin, the most reasonable assessment of a Prius I've read in the UK mainstream motoring press. At least they actually made some attempt to drive it appropriately, instead of lead-footing it everywhere whilst complaining that it doesn't get close to the manufacturer mpg.

In this month's issue, they test the C-HR in turbo manual form (ugh!) and then go on to suggest that the hybrid drivetrain works better in that car, so who knows - maybe one or two journos are finally starting to understand that the HSD's ability to provide a relaxing drive is something to be valued. Mind you, they still placed it last when compared to a Countryman and T-Roc, so they're not quite there yet!
