Warning Triangle Flashing

My wife's Auris 2010 plate hybrid is displaying odd behaviour with the warning triangle flashing/beeping when turning corners, going over bumps and the interior light comes on at the same time. Other symptoms occurred more profound during the hot weather on Friday when the warning triangle was constantly flashing/beeping whilst driving along and wouldn’t lock when we parked up thankfully this was temporary and are now back to the intermittent warning triangle flashing when turning corners and going over bumps.

This has been going on for sometime and I wondered if any of you have any idea of what this could be?

My 06 Corolla did pretty much the same, and it turned out to be the passenger door just moving enough for the switch to activate. To see if it's that, sit in the driver's seat with ignition on then just reach across and push the door.. if the light comes on you found your fault. Try all the doors just in case. As my passenger door wasn't actually out of line in any direction I fixed mine by spacing the switch out with a thin sliver of rubber. No recurrence so far.

Hi Adrian, welcome to TOC

My first thought upon reading was potentially a door switch so given Hugh's post I would suggest definitely worth checking them.

Thanks Hugh & Scott for both of your replies and suggestions, which make sense and I'll ty that first.
