Toyota Alarm

On the T-Sport there is an Ignition Controlled Door Lock/Anti Car Jacking Feature.

Basically the system will lock all the doors automatically when the ignition is turned on and unlock when the ignition is turned off.

Does anyone have this feature activated? If so, is it possible to activate/deactivate it yourself without going to the dealers?

Do you know what they do to the alarm to set this?

Sounds daft? How could you ever let someone out...or pick someone up? You'd have to switch off the engine everytime.

Besides.... there's a switch on the drivers door to lock all the doors.

I think this is actually dangerous...as if you have an accident...someone form the outside...can't open the doors...without smashing the windows....which.,..isn't that easy you know.....all in all wastes time. Depends where you live though suppose, not good getting smasked on ya head at a set of lights and someone pushing you out and making off with ya motor!

renault have got this feature on the clio. when u drive off, all the doors lock. which is great. but if u need to get out, u just open the handle and the doors will unlock.. they also have a feature where in an accident, the car will automatically unlock. why toyota didnt include a system like this i dont know. im always very security concious of my car when im in it, as in my last car (106 quiksilver) i had alod of drunken ladies trying to get in my car at the traffic lights hahaha

just got to the dealer and they will set it to do it

my clifford alarm does it on mine

jaxx: do they charge to do it? and will the doors open with the handle or will i have to unlock it before i can open the door? just wondering if its like the clio one or not?

more than likely knowing toyota!

on mine as soon as you click the igntion off the doors unlock, if you want to leave the engine running then you need to tap the release button for them to open
