Radio Surround Mod

I currently have an aftermarket radio in my aygo, but was thinking of fitting a cheap double DIN. 

Is it possible, or had anybody already tried to mod the original surround to accommodate the bigger head unit?

The double din fascia is £40

just buy the surround, by the time you have removed the radio surround and spent the time to cut it up and

fabricate an opening for the double din headunit the cost of your time ,materials + labour will be worth more than £40,

using the proper panel you could have the new headunit up and running in less time to mod the fascia panel.

I agree with eygo, if you have a look on fleabay you can pick them up for under 30.00 from China. Look good quality. I know someone that purchased one and it looks perfect. I would have gone the double din route but the fact that the fascias arent removable these days i couldnt take the risk! Who needs that stress!
