02 Corolla 1.4 transmission speed sensor (help)

As the title says i need a bit of help finding this part as i cant seem to find one on eBay.

My speed clock has just stopped working but everything else on the dash does so im guessing its the sensor.
Problem is i cant find the sensor on jap-parts to get the correct part number, or maybe i'm just dumb and cant see it :(

Any help would be great

Hi,

As far as I know on the 2002-2006 models, the 1.4/1.6  petrols with manual gearbox uses the ABS sensors for Speed etc, its only the auto box and diesels that have the speed sensor on the gearbox.

You have not mentioned the ABS check light is On, so assume all the sensors are fine, so it hints that the fault is more towards the speedo end ?

Does the milometer and trip by the speedo work ?  Does the mpg seem to work on the radio unit ?

yes your correct no abs lights on at all only during start up. so must be the speedo. thanks.

Makes my life a lot simpler.
