Hi,

I flushed the coolant on my brother's car and now about to fill it up but wasn't sure how much does it take? I tried filling it up with 2L distilled water to flush it and it was spitting already :/ 2L doesn't seems a lot for 1.3L engine car. I don't have the car's manual and can't seems to find a good source so I'm stuck :(

Hi, it should take approx 4.8 lts  for a manual, slightly less for auto.

Hi thanks,

Interesting because when I drained the radiator and filled it with 2L and it seems to be full already :/ put the car on idle too for 10mins to suck the water in but when I check the radiator again still seems full.

To properly change the coolant you need to drain the heater which means leaving the heater controls on full heat..

Yeah did that too :/ I also turned on the heater back after filling the radiator so it'd circulate in the system.
