Aftermarket Fascia Fitment

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Ok, so i finally got around to removing the stereo from my vehicle today inorder to replace it with my new JVC that ive purchased.

I also purchased a Connects2 aftermarket fascia, however once installed i have a 5ml gap going around it. It looks terrible in my opinion as one can see straight through the gap. Is this normal or are other brands e.g Autoleads a better fitment?

I shall attach a pic guys. Please help.

p.s there were no tabs on the reverse of this aftermarket fascia either to click into the vehicles slot, so i assume by fitting the cage and bending the tabs on the reverse of it is supposed to hold it in place?

hi sam

if its the gap at the bottom of the fascia does this dissappear when the headunit is fitted

i'm thinking that with the bottom edge being the longest that it may bow upwards until the

headunit is in place and presses the adapter in place.

I thought the along the same lines eygo...tried it...my new replacement stereo is a mechless system hence really light...

Its bugging me...if i replaced a worn rear view mirror and hazard switch because it bugged me...you can imagine how these gaps are annoying me lol...

I thought about putting like a 5mm trim around it...its like a rubber trim that bends...otherwise im out if ideas sadly

Hi guys

I managed to save the fascia issue, it was a case of blanking out the holes to the rear of the vehicles fascia that the original stereo clips into, so that no light shines through those gaps of the aftermarket fascia once in place, so now you cannot really notice a gap.

If any of that makes any sense i hope.
