Auris 2007 parking sensor fault

Hi,

The parking sensors on my  2007 2.2l auris are no longer working.

When i put it into reverse i no longer get the beep, and don't get the beeping when im reversing into something anymore.

I have checked and the reversing lights come on, so am assuming the switch is OK.

Does anyone have any idea?

There may be a switch in the boot to deactivate the system. Have a look around the lining of the boot and also behind the hatch that provides access to the rear light clusters.

Well after pulling out the sensor control box, i traced the cables and found that the little switch i though turned the boot light off actually turns off the parking sensors!

I have only had the car over 4 years! so now its working again.
