Blue smoke on Avensis DCAT 2.2 2008

Hi All,

Since I bought my Toyota Avensis DCAT 2.2 a month ago everything was fine until a week ago when blue smoke starting to appear.  Happens in the morning and can get a little hazy but goes away.  Then the next day it is fine and then comes and goes.  Is this s sign of trouble ahead?

I got my MOT this friday and hope it will pass.  I plan to keep my car until the Government decides to hit diesel owners but until then I will keep it for a while.

Has anyone had any experience with blue smoke and how expensive is it to fix which is what I want to consider.

Blue smoke tends to be oil burning.  Check your oil level.

It turned out to be the Turbo unit had failed and therefore decided to get rid of it.  Now own a Prius T3 and happy with it....
