Ssecond-hand Avensis T3-s

Hi, I'm your newest member having bought my first Toyota, a 1 year-old Avensis T3-s 1.8VVT-i with 16,650 miles. Having had nothing but Peugeots and Citroens for most of my life (my last was a 53 reg 2.0 HDi Picasso that loved spending time in local dealers for repairs). I got a very pleasant surprise driving an Avensis!!!

Is there anything about the Avensis T3-s that I need to be aware of?

Welcome to the club.

Not sure what model you have, but I have an 03 T3-X tourer and have only had one annoying problem. In that the holes where the cargo net is hooked up has a plastic cover over it. These breaks every time we are foolish enough to use it (about to get set number 5!!). Rsult, they are left hang by a wire (for the climate constrol sensor??). Other than that the wheel nuts do seem to be a bit prone to surface rust.

Can't fault the dealship though. FAR better the the VW dealship useless :ffs:
