You've Got £15000 To Spend...which Car Would You G

Hi guys,say you've got 15 G's to spend on a car, which Jap performance car would u get other than a Supra TT?What do u guys think of the Honda Accura?The Supra would be my first choice ,but I am keeping the options open.

I probably wouldn't blow the lot on just the car (well on the purchase anyway).

I would go with you on the Supra, but would also be looking at Skyline, RX7, MR2 Tubby (SW20), EVO-VI, Integra Type-R - in that order B)

The Skyline that I like is way too expensive.All the later R34 GTR's I 've seen are over 30G's...eish

Dude, look on Autotrader. Skylines are not that pricy anymore... Well to buy outright (R33 or GTS) - it's the running and insurance that kills the bank balance :(

Personally I think the GTS-T would be more fun - RWD and all :D :P

A mate of mine with a GTS-T claims:

£35 every 3-4 days on petrol.

Just under £200 per rear tyre (every 8-12 months)

Just over £120 per front tyre (every 12-18 months)

depending on your age/driving experience over £1200 a year to insure.

Oil & oil filter change every 3000 miles

full service every 6000 miles

general maintenance and part replacement by Nissan or Skyline specialist (more expensive that MrT)

How about a nice Lotus Esprit Twin Turbo V8?

Less than 5secs 0-60, top speed of 180. Looks fantastic and i usually see about two every year because they are so rare.

350bhp, ok so you havent got jap build quality or engine reliability but apart from a used ferrari there are very few cars that have that super italian look for £15k

Nah .. I'd go with Leeky, the esprit is EVERYTHING you want in a car.

V8, twin turbo, Mid engine, RWD, pop up lights & proper racing herritage .. I'd have it in yellow.

My mate just sold his Esprit V8 Twin Turbo. What a car, awesome power, handling etc and looked the biz(in red-but I prefer the nice blue that they come in). Downside as with most cars of that sort of spec was running costs although he is now looking at a Noble but can't get over the lack of luxuries I.E. no lecky windows or any such like.

I don't really like the styling of the Esprit.I like my cars to have nice curves ,just like my woman...ermm wifey

For the moment ,the Supra is first choice.I'll give myself plenty of time to check the other options b4 I commit to buying.

Lemme think:

Knowing a Skyline would be quite expensive so that's out of the choices.

In no particular order:

FD3S - RX7

DC2 - Integra Type R

Civic Type R

Supra

Evo 4/5/6 - most likely 4 cos it looks the best imo

And if I have any money over, mod it's performance and get some ICE stuck in.

Comparatively,the Honda Integra Type R[DC5] is definately becoming the other choice.So,at the moment its either the DC5 or a Supra TT each for their own pro's and cons...until I change my mind again...hehehe

15k i would go for a RX-7 but you gotta have the engine rebuilt every 60,000 miles....

if its out of the supra and the DC5, i would go for supra but i do like the shape of the DC5
