is 2010 Avensis safe??

Hi everyone, I'm going to buy Toyota Avensis 2.2 d-4d, but after reading some of topics Im really afraid of head gasket problem.. As information i found, this problem should been be fixed after 09 year, but is it true??? Pls tell me, will it be safe to buy 2010 year manufactured Avensis?

Yes, you should be fine - only a very small % developed problems & as you say the problem was supposedly fixed in manufacturing by the end of February 09. I had a 2007 & a 2012 2.2 with no issues.

Obviously you do need to check that the car has been well maintained for the last 8 years ...
