Download of navigation routes to USB

I find the journey planner an excellent feature on the MyToyota website. I can 'send to car' successfully but it has an issue with sending to USB. The route file is sent to the computer as a file called 'mydest.poi' but finds its way to the 'Download' folder on the hard drive. I tried moving this to a USB drive root directory but there seems no way of loading it into the car. I believe it should should be detected automatically but is there a necessary folder directory on the USB drive to allow this to happen? Any help would be welcome.
