Hi Everyone.  Not sure how this forum works. Just picked up my 2016 auris hybrid business edition today from motorline toyota bristol. Very pleased with the drive etc. I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction with the procedure to check and update the satnav. Thank you in advance. Regards Bob.

Hi Bob welcome to TOC ☺️

If you don't have the manual for your ICE system you can get an e-version from https://www.toyota.co.uk/tme#/my-toyota/eManual 

To check what version go >setup>general>scroll down to system information. The latest system version is 6.11.0W(L or H depending upon system) with 2018 v1 Maps. depending when in 2016 registered /what trim your car  it may have come with 3 years of free updates or an update may be chargeable.

Join/setup MyToyota. https://www.toyota.co.uk/tme#/my-toyota/ Download the version for your car to your PC & note activation code. Expand the file to an USB memory stick & take it & the activation code to car.  Insert memory stick & start car (the engine has to be running during update otherwise the car may shut down to protect the Battery mid-update & bork your head unit - the fewer maps that you upload to the car the faster that it will complete so if you don't need all of Europe ...).
