Not doubting or questioning anyone's driving abilities here....

We all know through statistics crashes are most likely to occur at a younger age or closer to the time when you pass your test, unfortunately it's part of the learning circle...

I though it would be interestng with the number of crashes on the board with Yaris's to see what age groups the unlucky few fall into, wether the crashes were your fault or not....

See what stats we come back to ?

48 when I had mine last year. Age doesn't make any difference when someone drives into the back of you!

Interesting one this... It might also be enlightening to know how many years after passing their test people crashed.

I've had 3 small(ish) crashes, all in my previous Yaris:-

1. Slid off the track (and nose first off a rocky 4 foot drop) on the way down from my parent's house at walking pace. Ice under snow - not my fault...

2. Went in to the back of the car in front (which had gone into the back of the car in front of it). I should have been paying more attention...

3. Bloke went into the back of me when I was stopped at a roundabout. He didn't leave enough braking distance in the snow. Not my fault as I was stationary and saw him coming.

They're scary at the time (especially the first one as I could see it coming and could do nothing), but they have made me a safer driver - especially with respect to the 2-second rule.

Cheers,

A

none touch wood, and the majority of us yaris drivers are quite young on here,

18, Wet road tight bend, too much speed

Through a drystone wall and half the car into a field

I've learnt the hard way £500+ worth of damage, not so much as a scratch since though
