Engine Type/Model

Hello

im thinking of changing my high mileage engine in my Avensis (600k) for a lower mileage engine, I have a guy who will do the swap over for me , BUT how do I find out the type of engine in my car ?

its is a 2007 d4d 6speed strata ,

Given that it is a 2007, 1998cc & no signs of D-CAT it will be a 1AD-FTV.

Presuming that Toyota Ireland has a MyToyota you should be able to check against that as well.

I took the liberty to input the VIN in www.japan-parts.eu/ and the engine is indeed a 1AD-FTV. TOYOdiy is another site that you can find out what engine/spec you have. Heidfirst is spot on.
