I am thinking about going to have a look at a 1997 GT that is for sale near to me. I have seen the car and it looks very clean. It is a totally standard car with Air Condtioning etc, 65K, FSH and recent clutch fitted, it is up for £5500 (no mention of offers) does this sound about right. I understand these car do fetch decent money as they are a stunning looking car. Also another one close by in a garage very similar car, they are wanting £6495 :o However it has been there for ages surprise, surprise! The top book price on the private sale car is about £5350 I think so it us probably a decent price although I may try and knock a little off!

I would guess the car should not lose as much of its value as normal cars, one other question when is the cambelt due for change on this car? And is it expensive to get done?

The car is actually a 1997 "P" GT so maybe 5K would be a more realistic price if it is a good one...

Thanks for the advice, I guess them asking £5500 no offers from the start is putting me on the back foot to start with. I think that is to much and will probably leave it unless they drop it a bit. Thanks....
