2009 Aygo no remote key

Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered on this forum. I have been searching here and on Google without finding an answer.

I recently bought a 2009 Aygo. I only got one key, without remote.

Read somewhere that some of the cars do not have the remote key receiver installed at all. Can anyone here confirm this?

How do I check if I have the receiver or not? Have anyone installed one?

It has central locking, all the doors lock/unlock then using the lock on the driver side.

 

I hope someone here is able to provide me with some information, I really need to find a way to install a remote key 😄

Probably useful to know which Aygo you have. Eg. Aygo Blue, Aygo Platinum, etc.

Sorry, I don't know what version it is. And I am not around the car right now.

How do I check this? Should there be a label somewhere?

Your registration document (V5C) may tell you which version you have.

I know the "Black" and "Platinum" definitely have  remote locking. I believe the "Blue" also has.

Did you not asked the vendor why there was only one key supplied. Could be they lost the remote key and given you the spare one. Does the car have central locking?

I have not been able to figure out what Aygo I have. My papers and registration does not tell.
I tried the procedure for programming new remotes, close, open, close, open door, ignition on, off, and so on.. After completing the procedure all doors locked and unlock itself, confirming the programming mode.
Does this mean I have the remote receiver?
Anyone know if I can buy a remote and program it just like that?
