Hiace 2006 Central Locking Problem

When I press unlock on my electric key fob - all doors unlock and I can hear the clicks (all doors open).

However, when I press lock, nothing happens - unless I open the side access panel door. In this case everything locks! except this door of course.

When I close all doors and insert the key into the drivers door and turn, it locks every door including the side access panel door.... 

 

I have no idea how to correct this problem? please help..

So the button works then, i'd have that panel door sensor checked out.

thanks, I don't know what to do to the sensor, any ideas?

It just seems as a good place to start. Try opening that door only, visually checking the sensor, press it, see if the open door warning disappears.
