A/C on one side?

I’ve noticed the A/C is only blowing really cold air out of the passenger side of my car. The drivers side is slightly cooler than ambient but it’s certainly not cold. There’s a massive difference even on the 2 central vents, the one on the left is so much colder that the one on the right even though they are next to each other! Anyone know why this is and how to fix it?

Are you sure you dont have dual zone enabled?

Certain. My car doesn’t have dual zone. It’s got climate control but no option for dual zone.

OK I had this exact same problem on an Avensis a few weeks ago. Air came reasonably cold through the passenger side and passenger central vents but not at all cold on the driver's side. I took the car to a local QuickFit place who re-gassed the A/C system. Result - sorted - cold air out of all vents and car cools down really quick even on hot days. Best £40 I spent on the car.

Might have to give that a try. I did have it re-gassed last year as that’s when I got the car and the air con wasn’t working at all. If it is that then maybe it’s got a leak. 😞

Spot on! Had a re gas and air con service done at Toyota for a mere £49 and everything is back to normal! Freezing cold within a few mins and blowing out of both sides! Thanks for your help and advise. Now cold and happy again 🙂
