Taking out broken fog light

It seems the manual and Haynes is wrong about removing the fog light. There are no 3 Philips screws on wheel arch there is a nut, some people say to bend it, I think you can risk breaking it that way.

Easier to just park it on a kerb so the wheel is near the edge. Remove all screws on splash guard, and take all 3 out of mud guard so it drops out, then you can bend it to gain access. This way the one Philips screw is closest to you. If you go the wheel arch route it would be further from you.

I have ordered an after market one from carparts4less, is it any good though cheap for £30.
