Tell them it's a Nova with an MR2 bodykit. Cheaper as you can claim it's a kit car...

...and then bend over!

Sorry mate. Age is against you. What quotes are you getting?

Think you might be up against it mate but keep phoning around...... dont end up on the motorway with the cash in your pocket trying to get a better price :crybaby: I am sure they can sense the panic in your voice and squeeze you even harder!

BTW I found AXA the cheapest overall but dont know if they have age restrictions? It does seem a bit of a lottery though as some of the companies that other members are recommending were expensive for me yet others that get slated were cheaper. I guess the moral is to phone anyone and everyone, they can only tell you to :censor: off - and alot probably will.

Ring as many as you can before you go insane. Expect half of them not to even be able to give a quote. I ring at least 10 when it's renewel time. Don't bother with some of the big names like AA or RAC, try the smaller specialist companies

My advice to keep your insurance as low as possible is 1 buy a UK car, 2 if you can, limit your mileage, the lower the better, and 3 put your mum down as a second driver (assuming she drives and has a reasonable record).

John, that sounds like a good deal, i pay nearly that, and mine is '93, and I am 24. Anyway its difficult to compare really because qoutes rests on so much info about the 2 and the owner.

I agree with these guys, grit your teeth and just dedicate a day to ringing a list of companies. Also go on tinternet, and look for companies which are dedicated to young drivers. The only problem here is that some them don't include performance cars, but companies dedicated to performance cars tend to want over 25's, that's the reception i got anyways.

I found Diamond to be the cheapest, you may need a small op for that, prob not worth it!! ;)
