New Avensis Trip Computer

Does anyone know if there's an easy way to reset the trip computer e.g. av MPG etc.

Picked up my new (2nd hand) Avensis T3S yesterday and was surprised to find that it only appears to be rest on a fuel stop (perhaps I've got this wrong). Anyone know what actually triggers this e.g. removal of filler cap etc?

Hi there.

My 10/03 Avensis doesnt reset the average by manualy only when you fill the tank.

The trip and the average km/h can be reseted by hand if you stay pushing the buttons.

The range is not resetable only when you fill the tank and it values on myne are about 200km off

actually i dont think that the range that the trip computer shows is right

it shows the same values when the comsumption is 10.0 lt/km and 4.5 lt/km

Yes i agree with you.

The values are always the same mine saya always 740 km range.

the values should change when we are driving faster.

mine maximum shows a range of 555 km...

however i can easyly go 600 km

I reckon the range and average mpg are both wrong. Recent 53 T4 auto and range never goes above 340 miles even when fully filled. Avg mpg shows 48. Something wrong somewhere.

Hi,

I have a new Avensis 05-2003 and i had some errors with computer comsumption values and range values... I reported it to Toyota and some time after that they received some factory note which was about computer malfunction and they replaced it for free. They just checked the serial number, and in 10 minutes removed the display behind the wheel.

After that readings got a lot better !

The milles counter was reset to 0 too !!!
