I have a 94 celica ss2.

When pulling away slowly I hear a dull knock under the bonnet.

It only knocks a couple of times when setting off.

I've checked for the CV joint on full lock and I cant hear the noise.

I've only had the car 2 weeks and it came with 6 months warranty.

Can anyone shed any light on this noise please?

:(

this is probably no help but I've got knackered wheel bearings and get a dull knocking under braking at slow speeds – may be connected but unlikely

I had a problem like that with another car i had, and it turned out to be a engine mount.. Either way i would take the the car back to where you brought it and get the work done under warranty... Take one of the garage fitters for a ride and they can listen to the problem.. Hope this helps??
