Front Near-Side Light not working

Hi ya :)

I have a 61 plate (2011?) Auris Hybrid

The Light on the front near side is not working

I have checked the bulbs and the fuse, and everything is looking good...

there was a time i could tap the connecting block and it would magically come on once more, however this cave-man technique has since stopped working.

Any thoughts on what might be the source of the problem?

Thanks.

G.

Based on the connector tapping fix, start your fault finding there.

so, should i cut off the connector and bodge wire in another one to see if that works?

Pull out said connector and check why tapping it seemed to make it work.

As Alan says, if you haven't already done so, remove the connector. It might be just a case of some corrosion. Disconnecting and reconnecting could clean the contacts enough to let the pixies flow again.

Failing that, you first need to check there is 12v at the connector using either a test lamp or mutimeter. Then test the earth.

ok, as far as i can see, the bulb is fine, but just for elimination process i tried a different bulb... a little tap! and presto the bugger is working again...

I did check the connections, but as far as i can see, it all looks ok

pulled everything out of the fuse box, checked and refitted... the relay things i have no way of knowing if they are good or no, otherwise all the contacts look fine.

I would still clean the contacts, even if they look ok. If you do that part correctly, then you can move troubleshooting the other parts.
