Issues with Radio Traffic Announcements

Hi all,

I've got a new Prius, using the Touch & Go 2 system. 

For some reason, ever since I got back from France, my sat nav now insists on giving me radio traffic announcements, rather than just the real time updates like it used to.

Is there any way to turn this off - I really don't need the radio breaking into whatever I'm listening to, every few minutes?

Yes. Turn the FM Radio on (so you can see the radio screen on the display), make sure it says FM an a little picture of a radio at the top left. Press the Gears icon at the bottom right to go into the Radio Settings. The very top option is Traffic Announcement... turn it off. Done!

Thanks - can't believe it's that simple.

I think I tried every other setting I could think of!

How do you get the real time updates on ?

I'm assuming you're referring to the traffic updates via bluetooth mobile data connection - see below

That explains why I haven't got them, I don't connect my phone to the car for internet.

I have a similar issue, on my Auris when a traffic news item came on the screen would flash TA announcement and even if the volume was down it would come on. Now I’ve set all I can see but when a traffic bulletin is transmitted by my local station nothing happens?

You must be on FM, NOT on DAB
