Purchase advice

I've been doing a lot of research and will do a lot more but I really cannot make my mind up on exactly what year model I want to go for. I'd really appreciate your time, thoughts and vote in the poll.

the poll title say 1.8 petrol/manual. Tbh it might be a bit of what is actually available - there usually aren't too many petrols for sale.

2012 was the first facelift model year so I would probably discount the 2011.

I've been monitoring the auto trade sites and there are usually 5 to 10 petrols on the market within 100 miles from Lincoln. There are even more within 200 miles range but I am still saving up for another 2-3 months. Will see what's on the market at the time 🙂 Budget will be 8-10 grand 😉

Most definitely going for the petrol engine. Been running diesel and I don't want to go through all the DPF, injectors etc. issues again because sooner or later you get them. Had 2 injectors replaced last year and another started leaking a month ago when I do over 64 mph. I just hope the smart (controller or not sure what the exact term is) injector doesn't go by the time I get the Avensis 🙂

Hi again.

It's been a while since my last post but I am now a happy owner of a 2012 Toyota Avensis TR 1.8 VMatic.
I've had the car only for a couple of days now but so far it had made me an extremely happy man.

One thing I am not sure of and haven't had the chance to go through the handbook. My sidemirrors won't fold in. Is it this model or am I missing something ?

At all? Or just not electrically (do you have the fold switch)?

I had some time to read. Doesn't have the electrical side mirrors it turned out. Doing them manually. Thank you for your time.
