Check vsc system

Hi my name's Chris I am new to the forum so I would like to say a big hello . I have had some issues with my avensis lately I changed a drive shaft near side because of some clicking . I think I have damaged a tie rod end in the process but ever since I changed the drive shaft sometimes when going around a corner I get the check vsc system come up on the dash . I took the drive shaft back out and checked the abs system which to my surprise there's no abs ring on the shaft it's just a flat surface is it meant to be like this . The old one I took out has not got a ring either . I'm changing the other drive shaft this week as I'm still getting clicking in reverse on corner so think this side is damaged but I'm puzzled by the vsc light can anyone help thanks chris
