Family (predominantly influenced by my research on Toyota's as a reliable car maker) has been a Toyota loyalist for a while... Camry in the late 90's sold in 2009, Oned a new Corolla for about 1 year - sold in 2009, New Corolla used by wife in the noughties.

2nd hand Avensis used by wife for several years in recent years.

I not own a car for about 9 years, but just bought 2 avensis in the family (one owned by the wife)

1. An Avensis petrol 2006 (56 Reg) - facelift T4 - bought in 2018  - mine

2. An Avensis petrol 2006(06 Reg) prefacelift T3-X - bought in 2018 - wife's.

Thanks to all the wonderful advice I gleaned on this forum.. we avoided some of the surprising pitfalls of certain combinations of Year/model of Avensis with the oil consumption issue on Petrol vvti engines.
