Hello there

I am on the look for a new car and was thinking of goinga Starlet GT. I was hoping to go for a Glanza and was looking for some advise on what would be a reasonable price for one and what to look out for good points and bad points.

Any advice would be much appreciated

First point of call with and turbo starlet is insurance it is not cheap as it's a Jap import.

Nothing relly goes wrong with them just check C.V. joints and turbo for smoke.

As for prices how much do you want to pay?

 Well if you have 6.5K you should get a good Glanza the one i would go for is the 98 white one Mark has for sale at www.glanza.co.uk

I know he's the other end of the country to you but i've not rally seen any 98 spec ones for sale (different bumper and rear lights) and with the import laws changing i cannot see any more 97 onwards cars coming into this country so you have a rare car that should hold it's value well.

If you have msn add me mate ... starletsy@hotmail.com

I think 6.5k for that car on glanza.co.uk is over the top! I admit its got a high spec but you could go and buy an 98 Impreza for less than that and still only group 16 insurance rather than the double you have to pay for an import.

there was an EP82 impreza with 80k on it that went for 2.5k on eBay.

have a nice day

Running costs of the scumbaru would be allot more than the starlet plus every man and his dog has one thats why they are so cheap plus unless you get a good one a 98 for 6.5K problems are ahead i'd say.
