I am a proud owner of a new Corolla, T3, 2005, 1.6

However the interior bulbs needs changing as they are too dull ie boot, reading light and dome light.

Any advise please?

As they are interior lights, it is quite legal to replace these with LED bulbs which will be whiter and appear brighter.

Have a look at Amazon and/or eBay.

I just don't understand the different bulbs. If someone has got experience with what bulb models I need it would be much appreciated.

If you take out the bulbs you need to replace then you can read the wattage and voltage, e.g. 4W / 12V. As long as the LED bulb is the same size and type then a lower wattage brighter LED bulb will be a direct replacement. You can also go to Halfrauds or a Motor Spares shop to get a direct replacement.

I recently ordered some bulbs from aliexpress for back license plate, but turns out they are same as for interior lightning

You should probably have the same,  5w 12w wedge bulbs are for plates and smaller interior lights, and double pointed  12v is used for the main interior light, and for the light in the boot.

There should be info in owners manuals regarding the lights, so double check, i paid around 3 usd for 10 leds and 2 double pointed ones.

I use the boot alot, and especially with the darker months coming I hate it when on piece of kit blocks the one small boot light. I've adapted the existing light so there's now an extra short strip of LEDs on the other side, still manually switchable with the original switch. One of these days I'll get round to making it two LED strips..
