have a j plate u,k previa making clicking noise at back mot man says top ball joint on rear suspension arm doing it! Not convinced by what he says! toyota want a fortune for arm unit any sugestions as to alternative supplier or any other possible common fault. jacked up rear wheel has top bottom slight movement but cant see were its coming from not loose wheel bearing. HELP!

movement in the wheel as you say sugests wheel bearing , are the wheel nuts tight >? the arm you speak of is it one of those small link arms with tiny ball joint top and bottom , if so take it off and whack it in a vice and nip it , or hit the offending end a few times with a heavy hammer just enough to take the free play off it. WORKS FOR ME AS THEY ARE £ 89 EACH FOR A 4" ONE FOR A CELICA.

I think if you want a new one you'll have to bite the bullet and visit MrT. Otherwise you could try 247 Spares, they usually come up trumps (second hand only).
