what is it ?? Why do you get it ??

Since my week away of constant drinking and eating crap I've had it more or less since then.

Taken Gaviscon a few times, which temp gets rid of it. But how do you make it go away !.... I don't like it ??!?!?!........ :crybaby:

LOL try milk lots of it , quit drinking and eating crap for a while , otherwise you'll end up with tummy ulcers  its basically too much acid in the stomach lining comming up into your innards.ISNT the shortness of breath real fun ?

I'm going to get a big pint glass of milk.

I can't stop drinking !!... Jappy is coming up this weekend for a Big Booze up !... DOH !

I suppose drinking 5 out of 6 nights isn't a good idea along with eating burger/hot dogs etc when out ..... oh and travelling the length of the country eating McD's on the way... lol

mate, its wrong!

ive been plagued with it for over a year now

all since i went on a stag do to prague, literally drank four days solid and only ate praguewurst sausages with mustard!

two options, put up with it and take gaviscon whenever you get it, or sort your diet out...

like you i couldnt leave the beer alone so i adjusted my diet for a while, seriously eating very healthily but still drinkin brought it under control.

food wise avoid fatty food, and stodgy food- bread pastry etc. personally i couldnt keep that up either but heh!!!

on the drinkin front i find that startin with a guiness or two, then a couple of smooth bitters and then your stella/hurliman/kroni helps

hope it gets better mate, its not fun, oh yeah,

goin to prague again in september, carnage!!! :P

so a week of heavy drinking and bad food can give you heart burn for ever ??? Unless you change your diet etc ?

But I didn't have it before I went, so why do I have to change my diet now ?? Geeze !

no mate, its a case of slowly reversing the damage youve done, the problem youve got like me is you keep topping up the badness!

if you didnt drink and ate healthily for a couple of months youd probably be fixed (untill you went mental again)

its like an overdraft,

as i say youve got two choices...

Please dont shoot the messenger

Not all down to diet mate :) Smoking doesn't help, if you do that is. Just hope it clears itself as I had the camera down and I reckon its the worst thing you'll ever experience. You do have a greater respect for women after it mind :lol::lol:

Had it on and off for years, Gaviscon is the way to go

If this is a serious post and i am assuming it is, do not drink that amount of milk, the fats in the milk encourage the producton of the acids that cause heart burn and ulcers. If you suffer continual heart burn for a while and don't do anything about it then you will suffer rotting teeth and may very well end up with an ulcer.

if you are unlucky you will get indigestion pains and acid reflux, if the acid touched the ulcer in osphegous () that can hurt and lead you to beleive you are having a heart attack  ........... , yep that was me.

I have experienced the sort of pain that gets folks to call ambulances :crybaby:

I am only mere male.

Yes it hurts.

Take your symptoms as a warning, you cannot abuse your stomach and expect to get away with it forever, there are very few parts of your body you can abuse without some reaction  ok ok I know about that one

Seriously please don't suffer it too long it can't get better on it's own.

Yep, thats right about the milk

I was given some tablets by the doctor that reduced the amount of acid produced, cut out pastry and everything else nice :( . Now so long as I don't go daft its fine :)

Always have a bottle of Gaviscon at hand just in case I decide to pig out though

That sounds like me now, I have had my medication increased due to the pain I was suffering and I still only have 10 weeks to see a consultant, not bad it could be urgent ;)

At least gaviscon tastes reasonable now, used to be absolute poo :drool:
