Has anyone else experienced a tapping noise from engine after an oil change.

Any ideas what this could be?

Can only hear it on idle?

Does it go away when warm?

When talking about engine noises it's crucial to actually hear the noise. Everybody has their own version of tapping/knocking/blasting/clacking/etc.

Also, who did the oil change, this and the previous one? How many miles on the engine?

Byzii. It was the same garage done the last one and this one, they use only the best of stuff. Car has only 51k on her, very low for age and takes zero abuse.

With cold weather approaching, it's normal to hear the intake manifold flaps until the car warms up.

Therefore i ask again, sound still there when car warms up?
