Car has close to 100 000 miles, usually 10 minutes down the motorway or other semi-urban driving, with a not often enough longer trip. So in an earlier thread I took your advice and replaced my DPF with a non-Toyota but trusted brand. Again, non-Toyota but trusted garage did the work.  The DPF settings memory was reset so it wouldn't regenerate as for the old dirty one. I really appreciate everyone's help with this, thanks. Car drove without error but still kicked out smoke too often,
