Hello all newbie from Portsmouth. I’m going to look at a 2010 TR VVT-I Yaris tomorrow morning for my mum. It has FSH with Toyota and is on 63000 miles. I have no idea what common faults/issues are with these and would like it if somebody could point me in the right direction. Also are these belt or chain driven? Many thanks

Karl. I’ll have a browse on the forum in the meantime 👍

A 2010 would be the 1.33 with the six speed gearbox and stop/start, rather than the previous 1.3.

The engine is chain driven.

I think he means the camshaft is chain driven.

It's his day off and may have been at the 'juice'.
