How Much Is My 2 Worth?

Im just after a rough idea on how much i can get for my Rev 1 MR2 MK2 towards an upgrade (Tubby time :) )

I will try and get some more pics to give you guys a better idea of its condition, but as it stands:

Its a 1990 Rev 1 MK2 MR2

2 Lady owners (then me since may)

Full Remus Exhaust system minus the manifold

K&N Panel filter

2 x Cobra Daytona reclining bucket seats trimmed in black + yellow vinyl(leather imitation)

simoni racing hand brake lever (yellow/silver leather) + yellow/silver leather gaiter

simoni racing gear stick gaiter (yellow/silver leather)

simoni racing steering wheel (yellow/silver leather)

momo steering wheel boss

Yellow colour coded paintwork on the interior (see avatar!lol  )

Kenwood H/U, flip down screen etc(can't remember the model but its £300)

Kenwood 160w 17cm Speakers (in original mounts)

Kenwood 200w tweeters (in original mounts)

Upgraded audio wiring

93k miles

black

standard body work (i will replace the "custom" bumper im building with a standard one)

good paintwork apart from one panel (rear offside quarter) where the painter done a sh*te job so its got a crack about 8cm long.

Everything else is fine.

Cambelt+Timing Belt have been changed

Regular servicing

Very recent new alternator (500-600 miles ago)

Any ideas?

Cheers

Dave!

P.S.The upgrading to a tubby is only subject to what ill actually get for the car, just want to see if its worth putting in the trader or anything.

mmm... I dunno bud.

It just seriously depends if you get the right person who loves your car or not.

I dunno.. lol

I wouldn't be happy with anything less than £6K for my car.. but would I get it ? Probably not ! Even tho I bought the car for £4.5K and then spend 10K on it. It would be best for me to trade the car in to a JAP specialist garage or something. Would probably get the most for it then.

Maybe the same case for you ?

Thats the only thing though...most JAP traders etc dont mind or quite like body work mods, but as mine is mainly interior...AND is quite bright, i might not get a huge liking to it!

Otherwise, i would most likely part ex it.

You might be better off buying the tubby, swapping the interiors and any other useful items (e.g. wheels) over to that, and then selling on a bog standard car. You will get better value that way.

I gather that N/a rev 1's go for around £2.5k, Just after a rough idea of how much extra ill have to squeeze together to get a tubby :)

mines a rev2 n/a and i dont think i would get more than 2.5k /3 k if i sold privately.

You could consider a turbo conversion from Rouge systems?

sound daft but i'm sure i've read on these forums in the past that insurance companies would charge you more for a car with turbo conversion that they would if you just sold it and bought a tubby....

Also the fact that a turbo conversion + the sale of my car would be enough for me to buy a Decent secondhand tubby?
