Stability

My 1.6 VVT-i is doenst have a good stability on high speeds(130 and over) especially when going downhill...

Does anybody else has the same problem...

Are you talking KPH or MPH here? If you're talking 130MPH then you are doing exceptionally (excessively???) well for a 1.6!

but still 130 MPH is not the limit of the car... I made 220 kph which is about 140 MPH...

We dont have the types of Avensis like 4D 3xt or so... The types here are:

1.6 Comfort

1.6 Elegant

1.8 Comfort

2.0 Elegant

2.0 Executive Elegant

my 99 avensis td is stable up to about 180kph.. it depends on the road surfaces though..

Well D4D is the 2.0 Diesel Version of the Avensis, dont you have diesels Toyotas in your country ??????

1.8 128 HP gas

Well thats bad, because the diesel version is very good.

Mine is the 116 cv\bhp version but here we also have the 135 cv\bhp one that is prepared by Toyota Portugal that is very good and very fast.

yeah the diesel is always good... it consumes less and also diesel is cheaper then unleaded... its only a bit noisy...

You dont really know the new diesels, mine you almost dont hear the engine it si really quiet

honda is not silent... at least the new civic is not more silent then my avensis...

i know the new diesels... lots of friends have diesel corsas or fiestas or little cars like those... and they are noisy... maybe the diesel toyotas are not...

Hello there...

I would suggest to check your shocks, specially when around (or above) 60.000 Km on normal roads. My d4d is stable on any speed it can achieve...

Are ayour tyres in a decent condition ?

the car is new...we bought it about 2.5 months aog... and has around 3500 km... so the tires and the shocks are in good condition(if there is no prduction problem)...

we dont have the diesel of Accord also :)

2.0 and 2.4 are the only models of Accords here...
