Hi,

My Parking brake is not holding my car anymore what could be the problem?

Is there slack in cable, have you tried tightening it up? Open the parking brake cover, and check for bolts to tighten it up.

 

If this is not the issue, do give more elaborate explanation.

Your post says 2016 Yaris, but your profile says 2006. Which is it?

if the car is a 2016 model has it had is full service by Toyota yet?

Hi, jack up the rear wheels (safely) and pull the handle up 3 clicks. If you can turn the wheels pull up the handbrake until you cannot turn the wheels. If this is more than 7 clicks you'll have to check the brake shoes for wear, as you'll have exceeded the auto adjust mechanism's reach.
