Map update not starting

I'm trying to update the maps and software on my Auris HSD as it's still running 2016 v2 maps.

Trying to update to 6.11.2L seems to start ok, I selected the countries and the unit says it will reboot to start the update. The only problem is that once it reboots it takes me back to the start of the update, which I just did. I did this with the car stopped and in READY mode. I downloaded the software from Toyota and had to enter a licence code during my first attempt, which it hasn't asked for again on subsequent attempts.

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any ideas on how to get past it?

the latest is 6.12.0 - been out a week or 2. Try downloading that.

Spot on, downloaded the latest version and it applied cleanly! I also managed to find the Toyota Map Update Dealer Guide, which confirms that this situation was caused by a bug in the update software.
