headlights needed... best place to buy them?

Hi all... Just joined the website, am hoping to get some help on replacing headlight units and where to buy good quality headlight units

My car is a Rav 4 51 plate

any advice on where to buy, how to fit and bulbs required gratefully recieved!!

My lights are soooo bad, need to change them asap!

Changed mine to led.. only thing is to get the ones with the control unit as a seperaate unit   H 11 made my life so much easier. .see  where I am going now

bear in mind that your car will fail the newly revised MOT with those fitted if the examiner picks up on it.

think Phillips bulbs should do the dipped beam  and full beam (1 bulb for both on the 51 plate i think?)

along with new Headlight bulbs, I also want to replace both Headlight units... have tried cleaning them and no joy.

they are the best part of 18 years old and really yellow and fogged up... the car is in great shape and has extremely low mileage for the year, so even though it'll be expensive for new headlight units, it will be worth it, as the car only does 6000 miles a year. It is a second car that has little use, so anticipate it going for another 5 years at least... 

If anyone knows where i can get a decent deal on replacement headlight units (preferably OEM  original Toyota parts) i would be most grateful to be pointed in the right direction of a reputable parts company that stock them.

SEEKER OF TRUTH: Thanks for the tip... My wife drives the car mostly and wants to stay 'legal' so will have to stick to the halogen bulbs... Shame, because I would definitely changed them over if it was my car!!!

Hopefully not fitted in a reflector light unit?

Well, I am a fan of Philips over Osram but others will vary.

How often do you actually use the fogs? Is it worth the cost to upgrade them?
