Digital Speedo Change

Hi

Im thinking on buying a used Toyoya Yaris, which I had a look at last night. The Mileage on the car is about 12K, but the condition looks like it has had over 25K. Does anyone know whether it is possible to rewind the mileage on digital odometer ??

Yes It can be done, but only with specialised equipment. Some back street garages could do it.

More likely to have speedo cluster change though.

Why does look like it has done 25K?

My suggestion is that if you are not 100% happy with it, walk away & find something else!

It was just the condition of the car. I done a search on the world wide web, and it looks like loads of garages can do it. I always thought it was illegal...

Sorry, It is technical term for Instrument cluster. It holds your speedo, Tacho, Fuel & temp gauges etc. You can change them in about 15 mins.

Just thinking it may have done a fair few miles then had cluster changed for new one ( Mileage then back to Zero ).
