Vmail do you worry about ppl knocking your doors?

I park in the child spaces (they are bigger and closer, and no I dont have kids)

I cant comprehend your non logical way of thinking, :ffs:

why is it ok in your little mind to deprive a mother/father of a limited amount of parking space that would be nearer to the shop therefore less hassle with shopping and the kids.

whereas Jaxx is taking up two spaces out of say 200-250 other parking spaces and is not depriving anyone of a space as there are so many of them.

1) I ALWAYS look for a wide space between two cars.. a standard space but one where both cars have parked properly.. that always helps...

2)I NEVER park in disabled or mother and child spaces (I dont have kids and I have the use of all my limbs/motor neurones)

Luckily here in Warrington we have plenty of car parks, and I can never seem to not find a space, and at Tesco there are always tonnes of parking spaces if you are prepared to walk an extra few metres... Taking mother and kid spaces / disabled spaces is just lazy above everything else IMHO, there is almost always spaces if you are willing to walk a bit (unless if you are trying to park in London, in which case Good Luck.. been there seen that got the Tshirt! commute, its a b*****d but it saves your car ;) )

OK, my two pence worth....

Parking over two spaces: naughty (unless you pay for them both!).

Parking in car with children bays: very selfish. (try getting a baby out of a pushchair and into your car without banging your doors on the next car. That's what the wider bays are for!).

Parking in disabled bays: reprehensible and arrogant. (there is a reason for some rules!). I consider myself very fortunate not to need to use em.

Don't get me wrong. I've collected enough scratches and trolley dints on my car in its time. If I'm in a multi storey car park, I'll park anywhere to avoid being next to another car in those narrow bays. Try the roof. Usually loads of spaces, the cars are nicer and the walk down the stairs will do you good!

I only hate people who park over 2 spaces when they've taken the last 2 spaces in the ferry car park when I'm late for work - and on those occasions I REALLY hate them!

It's always just a knackered old heap of a car anyway, so it's bad parking rather than looking after the car.

I never ever park in mother and child spaces or disabled spaces. Although at my local Tesco's, the Mother and Child spaces take up the first half a mile or so of car park! Even when I go at about 3am I can't quite bring myself to park in them! Ah well, I could do with the exercise!

Aye...supermarkets...I either find a nice large corner spot...or I take up two spaces....but always well away from the main doors...first...becasue peeps try to park as close as front...so less movement around my pride and joy...secondly....so I;m not seen as an arrogant To%%er....... well maybe in part.

These mother and child spots are are a load of pap any way. There's no law or regulation saying you can't park there..... besides...I could park there when I go shopping with my mom!....nothing about how old said child should be!

anyway....mom's these days need thesse beig spots to get their 6 litre Jeeps in....which have never seen mud in there life...and arn't insured offroad anyways!

Disabled spots are the same...there's nothing legally saying you can't park in a disabled spot in a carpark...as carparks are not part of the public road but are private.

However,...I wouldn't do either...but there's nothing stopping you at the end of the day...but i'm gonna be a dad soon....as yes it would irrate me if someone took the last " child" spot up who didn't have a kid.....ohhhhh I'm getitng old!

I need a Carbon fibre lowered child car seat with go faster stripes.......anyone know of one?!Vipes

Im just waiting for Trafford Center to open their new carparks, they fill up by 11:30am (old carpark was 10,000 spaces, dunno about the new one)

oh it takes approx 2-3hrs to visit all the carparks, so it makes sence to park in the first place you see

I'm sure my spot will always be free! Every single time I've been...I ALWAYS get the same spot......with no one on either side! perfect! but aye....it's always before 10-10.30.

yeah, oh there is a new B&Q nearby, they have a masive car park

before these carpark were built people used 3 nearby hotel carparks, asda carpark, cosco carpark, and even jjb carpark which is a bit of a treck

Personally apart from the fact I wouldnt park there out of the goodness of my heart anyways... who would want to park in mother and child spaces?... especially with some parents flinging open the car doors (especially 3 door models with bigger doors) and pushing pushchairs down between the cars... hmm?

*shrugs

And Vipes? Car Parks are private places with Public access and so come under the same rules as a public road.

Parking Ticket Code 40 "Parked in a designated disabled person's parking bay without displaying a valid disabled person's parking Badge."

You will get a ticket.. it is illegal I am afraid.. you -have- to display a Badge....

However the mother and child parking isnt governed like this

Heard you the first time Viper7 :D

I hate taking a car to the Town Centre, but there's a great Multi Storey that hardly gets used (especially the roof) about 2 miles from the town centre. That's about the only place I'll park..(in the Toyota anyway).

If it's a particularly busy day and I have to go into town (say near Christmas) I'll either walk (6 miles) or get the bus (Smelly option).

Grrrrrrr. I parked at the gym today; a golf parked next to me and the bloke opened the door and let it swing out into my car! I had a bit of a go at him but he was oldish so I juswt walked off in the end. I had my heart rate monitor on - it pretty much doubled in about 3 seconds!!

I only park in normal spaces between the white lines, no two spaces, mother and child or disabled spots for me! My Yaris stays on a permit holder only floor of a multi storey whilst I am at work for 8 hours a day and I've not had any bumps at all.

As for Tesco, Costco etc I park where it's empty ish but not right out in the deep corners of the car park..I like to get a happy medium!

Aren't you supposed to keep a diary while wearing it?

You'll have to make an entry.... "old f**t banged my car door!"
