Hi all,

Does anyone know how to Disable the seat-belt annoying beep alarm on Auris Hybrid 2015?

I tried most guides found on Google and nothing seem to do the job.

Hope someone can suggest of a resolution.

Thank you in advance,

Eran.

May I ask why you would want to disable a safety device, as once the belt is engaged the warning sound stops.

Obviously only for use on your own exceptionally long driveway etc (there's no way I could condone driving without a seatbelt any more than I could condone driving at 31mph in a 30 limit)... but cut out a replica buckle from a flat piece of appropriately thick plastic and plug it in instead of the real one - easily removed when you reach public roads again.

Be aware that during your long drive on privately owned land the car will assume you have the belt fastened so it will deploy the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners etc accordingly.  I've no idea if they deploy any differently with/without seatbelts fastened but be aware anyway.

Two connectors under the seats, different colours. Ones the seatbelt the other the airbags. Disconnect the seatbelt one. Sorry cant remember which colour it is.

The airbags won't deploy if the belts not being worn, however if you unplug the connector the car thinks you have the belt on and will deploy the airbags, this can cause serious injury as your heads in the wrong place (too far forward) due to not being restrained in an accident.

there is a possibility that you may be able to disable it using Techstream

It's actually available free from Toyota but an activation licence isn't free. https://www.toyota-tech.eu/GTS/Wizard/step2-intro.aspx

You also need hardware to use it. You can often find mini VCIs (these don't compare to the real professional hardware that a dealer would use but are cheap) that plug into OBD bundled with a cracked copy of Techstream on eBay etc.

I had firgotten about using techstream.  I disabled the beep on my 12 plate Avensis using it, but the flashing light remained active.

i have disabled the seat belt beep beep sound using carista

you can disable individual seatbelt warnings although

i have kept the rear ones enabled with having children.

no warning lights flashing and no sound 😀

its most annoying if you place something on the seat

i.e. bag of shopping for the car to be bleeping at you

after all its a reminder to make sure you buckle up nothing more nothing less.

Yes those are the connectors, I think the yellow one is the seatbelt (dont quote me on that!).

Just to edit my original reply - the other connector might be the pre-tensioner not the airbag. If the seatbelt is not worn the airbags might still deploy.

it does so much more than that and its not just for toyota

the app works with all the major car manufacturers.

just as a matter of interest how much would your toyota dealership

charge you for connecting your car to its diagnostic software

to change the setting more than 40$ i'm sure so if you look at

it from this angle then the price isn't too bad ,

i think i paid 25$ / £19.99 for the lifetime subscription back then.

40$/year for disabling annoying beep?
