:help: I am connecting a tow bar to my avensis with electrics, the lighting side I have no problem but what I need to know is, where can I pick up a live and a switched live from without going into the engine compartment.

If you have sat nav you will find these 2 circuits into sat nav unit in boot.

Failing that let me know, I have an Avensis electrical wiring manual.

What year is yours?

I have no sat nav, my Avensis is an early 98 1.8 GS Saloon

Did you resolve your problem as I am in the same situation and do not want to have to run a long wire from the engine compartment? Help!
