Sensor Difference

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This is my 2nd post, so go easy on me.

I would like to know what is the difference between these sensors apart from the connection socket angle;

part numbers: 89457 12020

throttle position sensor

and 89457 52010

clutch stroke sensor

Are they the same, just doing different jobs because they are connected to different circuits?

Can they be swapped?

Apologies if this has been done before but I could not find any discussion on this.

They almost certainly have totally different electrical characteristics and are probably some variation on a theme of 'Rotary Encoder.

ROTARY ENCODER

Thank you for the info,

I appreciate it.

The thing is they also fit perfectly in place of each other, and that is why I was confused and thought the part numbera are different becuase of the connection angle being different and the way they fit on the actuators (vertically and horizontally)
