Right my inverters here, well not at my house but my girlfriends.

Its 600w, the tv i wana use is 230w and the gamecube is 39w apparently (says on the back) this mean that the inverter is definately not gona have to work as hard.

Also, my gf has just said that theres not much wire and I was planning on putting the actual gamecube in the boot? Any advice? Will i need to extend the wire, if so how do i do this?

ideally yes extend the wire, directly from the Battery (dont forget a fuse)

also do the math! telly = 230 GC = 39

230 + 39 = 269!

(269/600)*100 = 45%

more than ample power there chap

Hmmm here we go again, fuses  Grrrr! Does it not already come fused?

it should have one built onto the side of it, have a look at that and then mount the same one at the batter end in an in-line fuse holder

you always need the fuse near the Battery! regardless of the fact there is two.

if you the wire came loose for some reason or another you would have a live cable running down the length of the car, which isnt good!

haveing a fuse near the Battery will blow it up instantly and isolated the cable

common sense mate! never unjustify it!

by identical fuse do u mean one with the same spec, eg 30amp fuse! or do u mean one thats same make and same amp!

Im checking google and looking at inline fuse holders, theres loads, different sizes etc!

any inline fush holder any style doesnt matter.

either a barrel fuse that you use on the install cable or a normal blade fuse in line. it doesnt really matter

but yes if the inverter has a 30amp fuse then you need an additional 30amper for the front end

well im just going on what my girlfriends telling me as its not at my house!

she said:

40A *2 DC input fuse. - is that just a single 40amp or a 40amp x2?

Yeh i was confused about what type of fuse holder, so i can get any, good, theyre cheap!! Might use blade since its the smallest!

youll need a total of 80 amps then at the Battery end

if you can get a fuse big enough (dunno if you can) then do so. other wise youll need to sort out two 40amps and wire them in parallel at the front

yeah sound job

now just get an in line barrel fuse holder. the sort you use in your amp wire

i also recommend using 8 gauge (AWG) cable to carry the power (Amp wire)
