anyone fitted these to their aygo at all ,    driving home tonight and lights pretty poor,    nearly as bad as the insignia i had and that takes  a lot,  looking online and  im getting all different bulbs   coming up ,      ive a 1 litre petrol 2014  model,    so its showing 9012,  9006   and hb4 ,    they all look the same to me  to be honest,     can anyone advise   on  whether they've done it and were the results  ok

The headlight bulbs in the second generation Aygo are HIR2's. Toyota do some halogen upgrade bulbs under tbeir Optiwhite brand - +60% brighter.

there are no road legal in the UK 9012 HIR2 LED bulbs & not too many upgrade halogen bulbs to choose from. The best so far seem as Frosty said the Toyota Optiwhite (made by Philips) ~ £48/Pair.

on a 14 plate it could be a mk1 facelift and i'm sure the bulb is a H4

fortunately there are far more upgrade options with this bulb

could the OP clarify which model they have i.e. Mk1 or MK2

From the OP's photo in their first post, it is a second generation Aygo.

unfortunately when you have the Hir2 bulbs you are stuck with really poor headlights

with the factory bulbs mine were just verging on the wrong side of acceptable, imo. With the Optiwhites, again imo, they are fine (not as good as the bi-xenons that were in my 2012 T Spirit though).
